Petals and paperwork

The week’s admin goes down easier beside flowers: bills at the kitchen table, the jar within sight, and the timer set honestly.

Set the table for admin

One sitting a week, twenty-five minutes by the timer, paperwork arranged and the posy in view. The flowers do not do the work; they decline to make it worse, which is nearly the same.

Order the pile by irritation, worst first, while the timer’s promise holds. When it rings, the remainder waits without dignity for next week, where it will be smaller than feared.

Reward with the ordinary

Close the sitting with the shelf’s minute: water the jar, note the week’s line, ten breaths. The reward is the same ritual the morning uses, which keeps the household’s economy consistent.

The journal notes, without comment, that flowers on the admin table have never once shortened a deadline and have several times lengthened a temper. Both effects are recorded here as findings.
